Kiki Galpin
Head Coach
Kiki Galpin started dancing at the age of 3, training and competing at prestigious, award-winning dance
studios in Orange County. This training led her to further her dance education at the Orange County
School of the Arts, in the Commercial Dance Department. After high school, Kiki attended California
State University, Long Beach as a dance minor, where she eventually joined the dance team. Kiki was a
three year member of the Long Beach State dance team, serving as captain her senior year. Once
graduating college, Kiki’s professional dance career began as a member of the renowned Boston Celtics
Dance Team. She spent six incredible seasons dancing for the Celtics, spending her last two seasons as
captain and one season as assistant coach. During her tenure, Kiki experienced countless opportunities
including dancing with artists such as Nelly, NKOTB, Montell Jordan, and of course winning a NBA
Championship in 2024. Now back home in Orange County, Kiki is beyond thrilled to share her experience
and passion for dance with the SCHS dance team. She looks forward to helping each dancer reach their
full potential both as a dancer and person.
Suzie Poetsch
Ballet Instructor
Suzie Poetsch started dancing at the age of 5 and fell in love with classical ballet which led her to scholarships at San Francisco Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet summer programs. She is trained in the Cecchetti method and R.A.D. Her 15 year professional career with Ballet Pacifica allowed her to explore the possibilities of dance with classical and contemporary choreographers such as David Allen, Diane Diefenderfer and Peter Pucci. She also toured with Los Angeles Ballet and David Taylor Dance Theater of Denver, CO. Suzie has been a certified Pilates Instructor since 2001 through the Physical Mind Institute. Suzie loves to share her joy of dance, while focusing on proper technique for the longevity of her student’s dance careers. She looks forward to sharing her passion of ballet with the SCHS Dance Team.
Domenica Isola
Assistant Coach
Domenica Isola began her dance journey at the age of 7 in local community dance programs, where she grew her passion and dance technique. She joined the SCHS Dance Team as a sophomore in 2016. Inspired by comradery and rich tradition, Domenica went on to become a team captain during her senior year. Leading with poise, she captained the team to National and State wins. Now, she returns with excitement to coach her alma mater. Domenica fosters a team spirit, valuing hard work and fun in equal measure, just like her own memorable experience. Her strong connections with former teammates showcase the lasting impact of the team. With her experience and passion, Domenica hopes to ignite that same sense of belonging in new dancers, making them feel right at home in the dance room.
